The Children’s Pilgrimage to Walsingham

Friday  – Sunday 11 March 2012

Fr Mark will be leading with Mary Nagel (St Richard’s Aldwick) a group from the diocese as we did last year.  The pilgrimage is for children aged 7-11 years.  We will travel by minibus leaving on the Friday morning and Mary will ask permission for you to be excused from school that day.

In Walsingham you will be accommodated in rooms for one, two or three people and all meals are provided.  During the weekend there will be worship, singing, teaching, walking the Holy Mile, crafts, games and disco!

The cost for children if  they would like to come is £99.  I will need a deposit of £20 by Sunday 5th December 2011.

If anyone would like to come but cannot afford it please have a word with Fr Mark. We would not like anyone to miss out because of cost. We have booked, with Aldwick, 30 places. It is on a first come basis.

Read the rest of this article...]]> Quiz Night and Auction of Promises – Saturday 29^th October 7pm – 10pm. Please come and support this fun evening and help us with some fundraising at the same time. Cost just £3 adults and £2 children. Bring your own drinks/nibbles. This is always a fun evening.

If you have any talents/gifts/time that you can offer to auction please let Karen know. This could include for example: 1 evening babysitting, 2 hours gardening, ironing, a gift item, an invitation to dinner, tickets to an event, a shopping trip, something you can make, piano lesson………. Be creative please think of something you can offer. Anything goes (almost!)…. To book or offer a ‘promise’ please see Karen.

(1) Dart’s Night at the Four Chesnuts – Friday 14^th October 2011 at 7pm. £3 for darts only or £10 for darts and a buffet supper – Ladies welcome too! Please let Karen or Brian know if you want to book, payment will be collected by end September.

(2) Boat Trip on the Canal – Saturday 28^th April 2012 – 2pm – 4pm. Men and ladies are invited to join us for a relaxing boat trip with tea, coffee, fruit juice and cake! What a lovely way to spend a Spring Saturday afternoon. Cost £8 per person. Please see Karen or Brian if you want to book a place as numbers are limited.
